| My First Yorkie! I wanted to say that I spent almost all day yesterday browsing this site and it was awesome. I was looking for tips and info on grooming and products for my new little girl and it was very helpful. I gave her a bath for the first time since I've had her and she did absolutely wonderfully and she was so soft afterwards. I work at an animal shelter and she came to us due to a law enforcement confiscate. She's 4 years old and her name is Talia. She is amazing. She is just the best dog and she loves our 55 pound border collie/aussie/husky mix and our 4 cats. She can be off leash, she's playful, she's loving, she's housetrained. I have fallen completely in love with her. I look forward to getting home from work just so I can see her! By the end of the day yesterday and after reading posts I decided without question that this was a great place for a new yorkie lover and that all of you seem incredibly nice and especially caring of your animals. I still need to get a few pictures of her up here, but I don't have a digital camera so it may be a while. Thanks to everyone on here who inspired me to become a yorkietalk.com junkie! |

| I'm also new and love this site...Welcome to YT. Gordon is my first Yorkie and I lurked here for awhile before I joined. While lurking I realized that so many on here really love the breed and are willing to share with those of us , that are willing to learn. I love that I found the site....and am learning so much from the members here.

| Right after I adopted her I started obsessively looking online for outfits for her! I actually brought home a faux fur coat and rainjacket for her from work and made her model for everyone! There are so many cute things out there for small dogs and I can't wait to start shopping! I've been trying to figure out which bathing products to buy her for the last couple days. I've read a whole bunch of opinions on here, but I can't decide. I suppose I'll end up trying a few anyway before finding one that I love. She's probably some kind of mix breed, at least that's what my friends here at the shelter are saying. Her ears definitely don't stand up, but I think she looks cute with little floppy ears! Thanks for all the welcomes and I will get pics up soon!
