| I had a foster Min-Pin that did the "boing"-"boing" thing so much that it damaged his knees and he had to have surgery. That isn't such a good idea to let the dog jump like that. |

| Ya my friend has 4 minpins, instead of taking the dog for a walk she sais "you want to go take the dogs for a bounce?" lol they really are obsessive about the jumping, they dont jump on people they just bounce all over the place lol |

| Kind of off topic - but this made me think of something... we have been teaching Summerlin to jump up into our arms. She naturally jumps a lot and we just thought it would be cute if she could jump up into our hands (only my husband and me - not my kids) - is this a bad idea as well? I would hate to have her do anything that could be potentially problematic down the road - I don't intend for this little girl to be going anywhere away from me Thanks for the advice. |

| Cute video! Thanks for sharing it, celstu1! mapetty: As far as bad joints are concerned, I would think that jumping onto hard surfaces (floors, concrete) impacts their joints a lot and would be much more harmful than jumping into your arms. For any Yorkie that's a jumper, try encouraging them to jump onto carpet only, though jumps from any high places onto carpet won't be very good for their joints either... |

| Jumping yorkies Freyja loves to jump too. She does not seem to have any fear. I get worried about her jumping off our bed which she does a lot. It will be really hard to keep her from jumping and I don't know if she will use a ramp or stairs if we got them (we'd have to put them up all over the house!). Should I be training her to use stairs or a ramp? Hubby and friends think I might be babying her. Patti & Freyja |

| Cute puppy, but the first thing I also saw was the knife. My Mom's Yorkie jumps into my arms when I walk in....it is way to cute!!

| Gypsy bounces like that when I come up to the door from work. Jim calls her the door polisher. He lets her out when he gets home and she knows when my blazer pulls in.
