| How to get her to sleep with me? I know this is going to sound totally crazy.... I want Summerlin to sleep with me on my bed. Ok, now that you are all done laughing at me, I need to know how to go about teaching her to sleep on the bed. I feel sure that she can do it, because she will sleep on the couch with me for hours. When she has to pee, she will start to whine for me to take her to the pee pad, and if I don't move fast enough for her, she will jump down off the couch to go to the pad on her own. This is my thing: my bed is about waist high, the couch is about knee high. There is a big difference - I am afraid if she decides to jump off the bed, she will hurt herself. So how do I teach her not to jump off the bed, and how do I know she won't pee on the bed? Any advice would be greatly appreciated! |

| You could make a little ramp so she could walk down when she wants out of the bed

| I'm not laughing at all. I couldn't sleep without my babies in bed with me. As long as she can wake you up if she needs to, I don't see a problem. I would, however, consider building her a ramp so she can get up and down. I've tried the steps, but they didn't go up high enough and were a little shallow. One thing you might consider is taking up her food and water a good while before bedtime and then out for a potty break before. Mine both sleep the whole night through; Chloe is 2 and Darla is only 7 1/2 months. You'll love having a little warmer beside you! |

| Why dont you buy those pet stairs. If you look around on the internet you could probably find a good deal....I've seen them for around 30 bucks. I love that my baby sleeps with me....she has slept with me since day 1 and we've gotten so used to each other. I usually sleep on my stomach and she sleeps on my legs with her head on my toosh. Sometimes i feel bad moving though cuz i dont wanna wake her. And it also sucks when she gets up to pee at like 6 in the morning. |

| Ramps, stairs, floor full of pillows to ensure a safe landing - whatever it takes to make sure she doesnt hurt herself getting down. I'll be she'll be more than happy to sleep with you.

| I agree, doggie steps are the best way to go, or a ramp... make sure she'll go up and down on her own, for example Pepper when he really wants to jump down, he 'forgets' that steps are there (but the bed isn't that high anyways...)

| Okay, I gave it a shot last night and let her try to sleep on the bed with me. We slept on the couch until about 1:30 - no problems at all. I took her to go potty, then we moved from the couch to the bed... she laid down for a few minutes, squirmed back and forth.... then she got up and went to the foot of the bed and peed again! I couldn't believe it! Needless to say, I put her back in the pen for the night.... I don't understand. She had already peed on the pee pad, why did she have to pee on the bed? Thank god my husband wasn't there.... |

| We also have a tall bed. I have steps just for me to get into it! We have a long, cushioned bench at the bottom of the bed. My little 3 pounders can jump on to the bench, which is about couch height, and then jump to the floor - no problem.

| Your bed is probably about 27 inches tall - like ours. We had to have pet stairs and they are carpeted and sturdy and reach to the top of the bed. This will give you some ideas: http://www.helpyourpets.com/petsteps...FQkjWAodhQoQUw
