| sawyer is well trained!! A few weeks ago I wrote about my experience with having a trainer come to my home to train me. Today was my 5th week out of 6. I can't tell you just how happy I am with sawyer ( and me). Sawyer now sits, stands, lies down. stays, goes to his place (a mat), comes when called, and walks on a leash correctly. The best thing is that when someone comes to the door, he will run to the door, bark, and then lay down and stay while I answer it. He no longer jumps on everyone, and will leave a treat right where I drop it if I say so. He is such a good dog, I can take him anywhere and know he will be safely by my side. Anyone thinking of taking this approach, please do! I live in Florida, near Orlando, and I paid 350 dollars for 6 hours ( Dianne always runs over though ) It may seem like a lot, but this is the way that worked for me. I just couldn't seem to do it by myself. Sorry for the long post, just had to brag on my boy

| That is awesome news to share, and you should be proud of yourself (for doing this for your dog) and for Sawyer (and your trainer of course). There is NOTHING better then a well behaved dog, plus training is a wonderful outlet for our pets. Whenever I am walking my dogs, I train along the way (I do train dogs). I always have my treat bag at my side, that way I can work on sit when I stop, I can work on agression when another dog/person is walking by (not mean agression but you know, that yorkie snarl), this way its more then just a "walk" which isn't always the most stimulating day after day, so its a bonus to everyone. I have both of my little dogs just about fully trained, that when I stop on the walk, they immediately sit without me even asking. It just takes time and persistence and wella!!! Kathy |

| That's great! I wish my puppies were that well behaved. We don't have any opportunities like that around my area. If we did, I know my puppies would be enrolled as well as my boyfriend's puppy. They are all handfulls! |
