Does your Yorkie offer trades? My husband sat down for dinner tonight...we had baked cod, green beans and mac & cheese. Jo-Jo is right on top of things when he knows it's dinner time so he promptly went to his dish, got a piece of his dry food, plunked it down at my husband's feet and sat there looking up at him like 'Hey, Dad...you wanna trade?' Hubby gave him a small bite of cod so I told him he had to eat that dog food now but he said 'I don't think so'. Jo picked up his dry food, walked a few feet away and walked right back to plunk it down again and gave my husband the same look! What a little scam artist...trying to get double duty out of one piece of food! The bad thing is...it worked!

That's funny! Lexi has been doing that for a year now and here we misinterpreted as that she wanted to be held and have you hold her food while she eats it. Guess we were wrong! LOL We need a doggie interpreter!

Jo-Jo is a smart little guy using his cutenes to trick daddy into giving in. My Gucci does the same thing, lol. After they taste our food is hard for them to eat the dry kibble. Sometimes i mix rice with her kibble and she just eats the rice.

Yorkie Kisses are the Best! Donating Member | What a smart boy Jo-Jo is ! I'd have been on the floor laughing - I can just imagine what he's going to trade if there's STEAK on the table - Wow - that's so cute - better watch that boy - next thing he'll be holding your possessions for ransom.... or try to trade with doggie food fakes - you never know how far a scam artist is willing to go ! |

Yep, he'll have us trained in no time. The scary thing is he's only 6 months old...I wonder what he has planned for his first birthday?? I think we're in for trouble with this one! LOL!

That is so funny. My husband always tells me that Sophie tries to trade a toy she doesn't want for the one he has. I just laughed it off but now I am thinking maybe she really is trading. She is only 7 mths. old. Some of the things she does amazes me.

I probably would have shrugged it off too if our other Yorkie hadn't done the same thing. Jo has so many of his traites and quirks it's strange sometimes. Now if Jo makes eye contact with me and moves them slowly to something he wants me to look at...well, that would just be too weird!! Boog was the master of the 'look this way' manipulation! You could almost hear his little Yorkie voice saying 'look this way Mom...I want one of those now please' These little guys are so smart...they just amaze me sometimes.
