| Soon to Be Yorkie Mom- Need Help! Hello everyone, I am so glad I found this wonderful site, I have been nosing around all day but I still have a few questions yet to ask. This will be my very first Yorkie- I have never had one before. However, I have had a shih-tzu and a maltese so I am aware of how to care for a long haired small dog. My question is basically this: Where can I find a quality yorkie pup in the US? I live in Addison, TX but will travel or make other arrangements if necessary. I am looking for a SMART puppy (haven't decided whether female or male) who would mature somewhere between 3-5 pounds. Of course like everyone else I do want a babydoll face, shorter muzzle-the Forever Puppy Look. But most important is attitude and personality. I want a dog who is laid back but can play too. If anyone could lead me in the correct direction that would be great. Right now I am working with one breeder who does have some male pups available but I want to see if there is any other breeders who I mesh well with as well. My budget will allow a price of $750-$1,200 or so. I understand these dogs are expensive (again I had a Maltese and Shihtzu before) but I am finding that this price range is reasonable for a pet quality Yorkie. I am not going to be spending $3,000-$5,000 for a pet yorkie-i have no interest in showing or breeding. Thanks again! SORRY FOR THE LONG POST! |

BANNED FOR NOT MAILING PRODUCTS PURCHASED | Welcome to YT!!! If you are wanting a mellow, lovable, baby face yorkie, then I highly recommend Jill Brooks, she is from Indiana and she is who I got Lillie from. There are several of us here at YT who has Jill's babies. Lillie is 3 lbs and is such a mama's girl. Not a barker and is pee pad trained. |

| You can see my little guy on my avatar. I bought Chewie from a breeder locally in Grand Prairie. I know of another YT member that purchased a boy from her also and is pleased. Her prices are in your range. You can PM me if you want more specific information. Good luck! |

| I have a nice list of prospects now! Thanks everyone! I like this site a lot better than the old Maltese sight I used to be on, I wouldn't have even been able to ask for help with this over there! Thanks everyone so much! Everyone's babies are just so adorable. I can't wait to be a full member of the club. |
