| Question Does anyone have kittens or cats and do they get a long with your yorkie? My boyfriend was at Petsmart today and he wanted to adopt a kitten. I told him no, but he keeps on mentioning it to me. He thinks that Keely should have a lil playmate around her age. What do you think? I just don't know.

No Longer a Member | I don't have a cat. Every time Giz goes out to do his business the cat next door sees him and runs over here. They wrestle and sniff, occasionally He will lift his leg and pee on him, but the cat doesn't seem to mind. That's love. |

| I have cats like 6 of them tho not all in doors and my yorkie gets along with all of them the inside ones and the outside ones. My cats pretty much keep to themselves tho and a kitten might not do that. Id just watch them. Cats are known get get moody sometimes. But my cats do fine with my anna. |

| I have two rescue kittens that we got shortly after X-mas. My Bijou loves them and they play great together. The only one that doesn't care for the kittens is the Belgian Malinois. I really don't know why as you should see his big 100 lb. body play with my 3 lb. Bijou Yorkie. LOL. The Belgian has to lay on the ground and just kind of wobble his head around. Quite the sight.

| I think they get along great. I don't have one, but my sister has a cat, and a few months ago, I gave her a Yorkie, today they are best friends. They play all day, it's really fun watching them.

| I got a puppy and a kitten around the same time and they got along great. They were close enough to play together be each others company but weren't as bonded as getting 2 puppies where they ignore you and are constantly with each other. also, the dog taught the cat how to play and the cat taught the dog how to slap fight while on his backlegs. lol |

| I know several people with cats and dogs and the do beautifully together! I've never been able to have a cat because my husband and boys are very allergic to them. |

My furkids Donating Member | My girls aren't real crazy about my cat, who happens to be a 22 lb Maine Coon! and, it's not just the dogs that go after the cat...the cat will antagonize them too....he will walk by them and give them a swat on the but or a little smack on the top of the head! that's all they need to set them off chasing him...they have both had him cornered, which makes me very nervous..He could kill one of them...then I have to get into the mess and I really don't want to get bit OR scratched by him...I just keep them seperated most of the time.
