| Lily has free run of the house!! Well Lily is now 9 months old, she was confined to the kitchen only when she wasn't being supervised until this week. I took the gates down on Thursday!!Yeah no walls for me to climb over to get in the kitchen. Those gates have been up for over a year and a half, because we got Lily right after my pomeraian was house broken, so I never took them down. This is like a freeing feeling to me, and Lily of course. I can't believe my family and I have been climbing those things for that long...I guess I had never thought about it till now. Anyway Lily is doing fabulous on having full run of the house. She loves all of the freedom, and she is on my heels where ever I go, along with my pomerania(my chi just sleeps all day). I do have to be vigilant about taking her out or she would probably have an accident, I don't think she has figured out how to let me know she needs to go out. When she was in the kitchen she sat at the gate and whined if she wanted to go out, so hopefully she will start looking at me or the door and whining when she needs to go out. I do have the potty bells which we have had since I got her, but none of my dogs use them, they have never gotten the hang of them. Any ideas on how to get them to use them? I just wanted to share with everyone how free I feel!!

| I would love to give my two free rein of the house but they are always picking things up and eating them. I know that it's not because they are hungry, they have a self feeding system so they can eat anytime. How do you keep yours from scavenging the floor?

| I guess you could say I am a neat freak, there is nothing on the floor they can get a hold of, except things they are allowed to chew on like their toys. I have my kids taught too, they always pick up after themselves, so they leave nothing on the floor for the dogs to get a hold of. But then again my boys are 11 and 14 so they are old enough to keep things off of the floor. The only dog I have that has been a chewer is my pom Rocco, I sometimes catch him trying to chew on my brand new carpet in the corners where it is tucked. I just try and keep his mind occupied with other things to chew like the everlasting treat ball.

| Congrats!!! That is the best feeling in the world. In my old apartment I had the gates up so my baby couldnt run out the front door and now in the new apartment it is only a hallway so the gates be gone! |
