| Safe to Buy Nutro Dry Food? I just ran out of my last bag of nutro natural choice lamb & rice (dry kibble). So is it safe for me to go ahead and buy some more? I read all the recalls and it was only for wet food pouches or cans but a few people on here have posted about the dry kibble possibly being bad too. Help please.

| They are saying the Nutro dry is okay, however, my three were eating Nutro Natural Choice Lamb & Rice and were sick, throwing up, last week when the recall first came out. The vet was treating them for nausia. Even though they said dry kibble is not affected, I immediately switched to Royal Canin Yorkshire, and my dogs have not thrown up since. They are much happier with the food, and much more active. I don't care what they say, I think the bag I have contains at least some contamination, perhaps not as much so as the wet food, but the coincidence seems just too great to me. I'm checking with our vet and possibly a veteranary college on Monday. Just can't take chances with our wee ones. A relatively expensive dog food is much less expensive than vet bills and the anguish of sick pets. |

| Safe to Buy Nutro Dry Food? You may want to read the following review and anaylsis before you keep feeding your babies Royal Canin Yorkshire. It's rated much lower than Nutro Natural kibble and contains mostly "undigestible filler." You can find it here:http://www.dogfoodanalysis.com/dog_f...duct=286&cat=7 |

| I know you're never supposed to just switch a dog over to a new food w/o properly mixing the two for a while. But w/ nutro on the list (even though the kibble isn't listed) I'm scared and am wondering if you guys thing it's worth risking to just switch immediately to natural balance? I don't want to upset their bellys by switching so abruptly but I definately don't want to risk it with the nutro.. This is going to be expensive no matter which route I go bc remember I'm feeding 5 large dogs and 1 yorkie. I go through a large bag of nutro in a week and a half. I can't imagine any of them getting sick bc of my negligence. (sp)

| Recall List? I'm getting low on my Nutro Lamb & Rice kibble as well. I didn't realize until just now that the dry food might be a concern as well. Where can I find that list of recalled foods? I don't know what to buy!

I feed Nutro Natural Choice Lamb and Rice and will continue to do so unless otherwise informed. Nancy http://www.nutroproducts.com/ (Quoted from the site see below) This recall applies to certain wet food only. No dry Nutro pet foods, biscuits or treats are impacted by this matter and no other canned or pouch products are subject to this recall. Nutro's dry dog and dry cat foods are produced at Nutro's company owned manufacturing sites in Tennessee and California.

Donating YT 2000 Club Member | I have my dogs on 1/2 Nutro and 1/2 Canidae and I sealed up my Nurto and just put all canidae in my feeder. I would rather be safe right now. I am probally over reacting but that is just me.

I wouldn't worry about switching immediately. We have always done our food switches immediately and have never had a problem. | |
