what will happen if i go from akc to ckc? I am new at this and didn't know until it was to late. I purchased an AKC female the other day, And the next day a CKC male. I was told to bring the AKC down to a CKC level in order to breed them and have registered pups. What i was wondering is if i did this would i be sorry as far as the price goes for the pups and the sales, or would i be better of because of the less trouble and cheaper reisterations with CKC. Should i sell the CKC and get another AKC or just down grade? Please help me. thanks yourkey

AKC is a better Registration. My Male is AKC and My female is CKC and I paid more for My CKC. So it all depends on the person buying. people who are wanting Yorkies as pets, some of them dont even care about the papers.

I agree AKC is better. I wouldn't sell my CKC, because sometimes you can apply to AKC, and they will send you to someone in your area that will evaluate your dog to see if it meets up with the AKC standards. If it does you might be able to get the AKC papers.

you can keep your AKC and dual register him to CKC. then, down the road you might want to buy an AKC female. Around here the CKC sells for almost as much as AKC.
