| How to stop him from whining to sleep with me? My Coffee whines. First, he whines when I'm laying on the sofa watching tv after dinner. (This is also when he had his dinner.) It seems that he wants to sleep on my stomach. I've allowed him to do that a few times but now he just whines every night after dinner and tries to climb up the sofa. Even if I said NO. He's pretty persistent on this matter. Also, he whines when I'm working on my computer. When I take him to my lap, he goes to sleep. I think he's addicted to sleeping on me. What should I do? |

| yorkie's tend to want to be near and dear to their owner...they hate to be away from you @ anytime...that is why he whins to you is because he wants to be as close as he could possibly be. |

| Most of us are like that,(want our furbabies with us) but some people don't want their dogs with them on the furniture. You started a problem if you don't want him with you on the furniture. You need to be firm, say no and don't ever let him lay with you. Eventually he will get it. But if you pick him up sometimes and not other times, all you are doing is confusing him.

Do you only have one? When I was 7 yrs old my parents brought home a SaintBernard puppy. Barney grew up to be my mom's '"lap dog". He only stayed with us 2 years, my mom and 2 sisters were allergic to him. What should you do? My sister has a Doberman, if you're watching tv or on the computer or in bed she won't jump up on you. She very softly & slowly works her way up to be next to you or on your lap. What should you do? My friend B has a very large American Bulldog. She has never had a dog of her own and never allowed her husband's dog on the furniture. She ended up buying a loveseat so that her AB could sit with her and watch tv. She also has a new bed buddy. What should you do? We have 3 Yorkies. They sleep with us, sit on the sofa with us, one is laying on the computer table while I'm typing right now. I think they would sit on my lap in the bathroom if I would let them in. What should you do? I don't know, what do you think you should do?

The Hubster gets home late and travels a couple days weekly---so on the nights he is here, Milo favors him on the couch. I feel naked on those nights! However--after spending the night draped over The Hubster on the couch, when we hit the bed, it's all about me. I have never liked sleeping with pets---it's a comprimise for me to have the cats at the foot of the bed but then came Milo. He has slept up around our necks since the first night and I wouldn't have it any other way. Milo kisses and snuggles are the best alarm clock in the world! | |

| I would let him up on my tummy or head or anyplace else. My Murfee likes to sleep on my legs when I am lying down, on my shoulder when I'm sitting and on his daddy's chest when he is laying down. We Love it. |

| He just wants you to love him. When my pup was a baby, she would lay on my chest as I watched television, and go to sleep. Part of her baby bonding. Enjoy because they grow up much too fast. Warmly, Deborah
