| They Shaved My Baby!! I took Buddah to the groomers for the first time yesterday. He was really matted because the brush I was using just wasnt working. I got a new brush but getting the matts out wasnt working. I thought the groomer would be able to. Well I was wrong. I came to pick him up and all his hair is shaved off. hes no longer my fluffy black baby. now he is all sleek and gray with fawn coloring. I know he wasnt going to be black and have his puppy look forever but I feel like I was robbed of his childhood. Do you think his hair will grow back like it was before or is he going to be gray for now on with no puppy coat? By the way he looks sooooo hilarious. HUGE head on a tiny body. I didnt realize he was that small. |

| I just had the same thing happen to Snickers 2 weeks ago! His black puppy hair was getting pretty long and shaggy so I took him in for a "puppy cut". His hair on his body and legs were left, at most, a 1/2" long! I about cried. And I swear his legs grew 6 inches! It is growing back fast though not fast enough.

| They didn't quite shave my little guy, but the groomer took all the hair off the top. I have no idea why she did it. I told her to trim it up and leave the top long as I am letting it grow a little. I almost cried when I picked him up. It didn't look like the same puppy! All his top hair was gone and it was fringe short. It is finally just getting to the point where I like it better, but now his hair is all different lengths. I might have to shave him or cut him really short.

| I always have Skippys hair cut short, because the fleas are terrible here in Florida, but his head does look a little bigger when his hair is cut. |

But, since I have moved to FL, I have tried everything. Even the usual monthly treatment of advantage doesn't always work. My Maine Coon has it the worst. Poor baby always has one on him. I even had the house tented. They still came back. Percy hasn't gotten any as we seem to have them under control right now...but...they will be back I am sure....unless... do you know a way to prevent fleas down here?!

| Boy can I relate to the saved puppy drama!!! Im still mad...I dont even want to think about it!! Izzy was shaved back in December and now his coat has finally grown back. He's back to looking like a puppy...yeah! Here are some before and after pics: 1. After PetSmart shaved him (december) 2. Recent pic (march) I finally found a groomer that does a great job and sometimes I do it myself.

| How old is he? When Izzy's grew back it was still black but the hair on his head and face got lighter...maybe because he's still a puppy. Check his roots you can tell from there if it will change. When he was younger, the roots on his head was white and tan.
