| Anyone's yorkie destroy EVERY toy? Brooklyn has started to destroy almost every toy.. and it's getting worst and worst.. almost to the point where I can't trust him with anything when I leave. Anything rubbery or with eyes or noses are the first to go. Any suggestions on things that are destroy proof??

Donating YT 2000 Club Member | Yes my Jinny is like that. If we give her a stuffed toy she works on it until she tears all the stuffing out and the eyes are always the first to go. Now my Shih tzu Harely has a green frog and a cat he uses to lay his head on to sleep. Jinny never touches them. She knows they are not her's.LOL

| Buddy is the same way. It started when he reached 1yr old. Before that he just played with his toys. Any thing with a squeeker is off limits. It is his goal to get the sqeeker out ASAP! I have spent, like you I can only guess, a small fortune on toys! Hard rubber toys I buy but he ignores them. My daughter bought him a toy made from what felt like a fire hose. It was so tough we thought he would never get it open. Wrong. Within 20 mins he had the end opened. Kiss 11.99 goodbye. I sometimes feel sad that he has nothing to cuddle up with but it's his fault. I now buy nothing. What he has, the hard rubber ones is all he is getting. Maybe when he is toothless in old age I'll start buying again. |

| Mine go through periods where they are destructive with their toys. The two things they havent destroyed are their cuz and their kong and other thick rubber toys. All of their stuffed animals look shabby. I am going to buy some new ones for them for easter

| Try putting a plastic water bottle in a sock with a knot, an old towel in strips and in knots, or a cloth jumprope with the handles cut off and put knots in it. Every toy that I have bought my boys, whether it be cloth or rubber, they tear up within 10 minutes. You could try the kong toys, and put peanut butter in it, but it might not work, it didn't work for my dogs.

Mom to Marty & Maddie Donating Member | YES! It's very rare that Marty will have a toy for more than a month before it's completely destroyed and no longer has any material inside. LOL! Sometimes, it doesn't even last a full week. And squeakers, he wants them out as fast as he can get to them! Luckily though, there are a few purchased toys that he's had for a year or so, but that is VERY uncommon! I make a lot of his toys since I know they will be destroyed so quickly. I use mostly bandannas or hand towels for this and he LOVES them. Just tie a very tight knot and it works great! |

| I would put every toy away, and only give a femur bone to work on. After about a month of that, then only put down one sturdy toy that isn't rubber, and doesn't have anything on it that she can chew off. After a couple of days, take that toy up and put a different one down. I've seen dogs go crazy and destroy toys because they have way too many down. |

| Those 92 cent stuffed LATEX toys at Walmart are great and last a LONG time. They do have a squeaker, but it takes a long time to kill it (unless you have a dachshund, but even she couldn't tear up the toy, just bit hard into the squeaker to disable it. Don't get the vinly they will chew them to bits and they aren't digestible. But the latex ones that look like monster/dinosaur crosses for 92 cents really do last a long time.

| My male yorkie, Hobbs, destroys EVERY toy! The only toys he has now are toys with the brand name "Bamboo" that are advertised as "indestructibe." They hold up pretty well as do Kongs. But ropes, plush toys, anything with squeakers...he completely destroys and eats! So he cannot have any of those. |

| YES! Remy does that as well. Eyes on any toy is the first to go! ive thrown away over 5 toys now (stuffed animals) because he has ripped them up so bad, he started to pull their cotton out! Now, i watch his stuffed animals very closely, once he runs and wont let me have it, i know hes gotten through to the good stuff. I dont know if theres a cure for it, Remy is only 1 next week, but maybe they'll grow out of it? i haven't tried kongs yet, but i just ordered some toys made for 'aggressive chewers' so i hope those last longer! he doesnt care for rubber or balls, so we'll see. good luck! |

As horrible as it sounds, It's good to hear that Brooklyn isn't the only toy-destroyer. I feel bad taking them away as he loves them so much, which is why I don't get why he would do it.. but I guess he doesn't think of it that way. He loves Bobo dogs and has been through three!
