| What can I do?? So my new pup Rocco pooped for the first time yesterday, well he squirted, not pooped. I had to give him a little enema because his tummy was hard and he hadn't gone #2 for 2 days. He went and felt MUCHH better. I've been trying to give him soft food, to balance out his bowels but he wants nothing to do with soft food. He ONLY wants his and Coco's kibble. It's high quality kibble, his Innova for puppies with Nutro for puppies and hers is the same but for adults. What can I do to make him poo on his own? I tried mushing his kibble mixing it with gravy, or mixing it with canned food (which I DON'T EVER use but needed something this time). I've tried EVERYTHING and he refuses to be treated like a baby, he wants to be a big boy and eat his sisters kibble What can I give him to make his poor soften up?

| I've also heard that pumpkin works. You could try that with his food. I'm sure once Rocco gets more settled in that he will become more regular. Sending him lots of love from his long lost friends in Alabama! |

| Try diary queen soft serve. Whenever we give it our little one he gets soft stools for the rest of the day. Cottage cheese or Yogurt might help also.

| When I had my boyz on Innova Jo had a hard time going #2 but Riley was fine with it. You might have to add a little oil in it to help him out. |

| It is just canned pumpkin that you get in the grocery store in the canned foods isle. It is the canned pumpkin that you make pumpkin pie and stuff out of. |

| Buy some salmon oil soft gels, bit the tip and squeeze about 10 drops into a tiny bit of baby food meat or something he really loves. The salmon oil really helps with this problem. |

| Oh, I almost forgot. FLAX oil is even better to solve the constipation problem. |

| I know..lol..but I wish he would eat some soft foods so he can poo better. I have to literally shove nutrical and soft stuff into his mouth, and he shakes his head so I miss and get it all over his face..lol..little booger..

| Is he drinking enough water? That might help, too, since soft dog food is mostly moisture/water. |

| Yea he drinks a good amount of water, but because he throws up in the car, I'm worried it dehydrates him a bit.

| AWWW! Poor baby is still getting sick in the car?? well since he is throwing up the water, that seriously may be what is causing him to have a hard time pooping. Maybe since you aren't traveling to and from work this weekend you can experiment by seeing if him holding down water will help his poopies. |
