| My New Little Guy....I am a MOMMY....YEAH I am getting him in 2 weeks......Can someone Please help me Where to have him sleep? In a bed in his own room? Let him sleep with my daughter? Should I crate train him? We have a new house and I want him to feel like it is his own. Now he lives in a 3x3 box with his sister. I would appreciate any feedback on hows and so on....I also work during the day and I am reading the posts on how to potty train...should he sleep in the Bathroom (that is where he will be staying some of the time) He is paper trained Now.... Thanks It has been a pleasure to read all of your post this month Thanks in advance for your help.... |

It is best to confine him to a small area for now . . . remember puppies are very destructive, no matter how cute they are. Your new home can be ruined big time if you are careless. As for sleeping quarters, well that is a tough one to answer. He might be fragile right now to sleep on the bed with you (that is if you plan to do so eventually) . . . . maybe crate him or confine in a small expen in your room . | |

| Congratulations !! I will be getting a baby boy in 2 weeks also. Isn't it exciting !! This will be my third yorkie and I always let them sleep next to me on the floor in their crate for a little while.

| How long will he be alone during the day? I'd have him in an ex-pen attached to a crate, then a blanket over the crate, a wee-wee pad at the other end and a water bottle attached to the pen, rubber chew toys too. |
