| Yuckie pee smell We got our puppy this winter and have trained him to go pee outside on our apartment balcony and didn't think much of it. Now that it is getting hot there is a bad pee smell coming from the balcony from all the pees. Is there anything that will kill this smell from the outdoor-type/plasticy carpet on our balcony? Or will it just go away soon? |

| You should have put pee pads on the balcony. There are products to get rid of the pee smell but I would use bleach diluted and scrub with a brush when it is a sunny day to dry it out.

| Pee pads on an outdoor balcony in the winter really aren't worth the hassle in Utah winters and I can't go back now and put the pads down anyways to fix the smell problem. But thanks for the helpful bleach suggestion. |

| When my furbabies have accidents IN the house I use Windex and drench the spot and then dry it out as best I can. I think the ammonia cleans out the smell really well. I have used bleach and other doggie products but am partial to the Windex. If that doesn't work, try changing out the floor covering or re-painting over it, if that is possible. I also agree that when you do get the smell out, you should use pee pee pads. You can get the equivalent pretty cheap if you buy People Incontenency Pads.

| i would surely use some kind of pads so they just run out there and pee on the floor??? if you don't have a roof, i would create some kind of covering (kinda like a dog house or something) to put the pads in and train them to go there only.
