| Hair on Ears? I went to visit my grandmother and I noticed that the hair on her Yorkie's (Charlie)ear doesn't really grow. It isn't what I would call leather ear becuase he does have hair on it. It is almost like it has been shaved and it just stays that short. The hair on Diesel's ears grows like crazy. Does anyone have any idea what causes this? It also looks like Charlie is starting to loose some hair on his nose as well. He also has little white spots on his nose where he lost the hair. Come to think of it he also has a few white spots around the black rim part of his eyes. I have no idea what this could be but her vet hasn't said anything about it.

| I don't have an answer for you, but the little yorkie that I had gotten from rescue had the EXACT same thing you are describing. I asked the rescue, my vet and another lady that has a lot of experience with yorkies, but none of them had an answer. I would really like to know what it is and what causes it. I'm posting a picture of the dog that I am referring to... if you look closely, you can see it around her eyes. She also had a couple of places on her nose, but you can't really tell from this picture. Anyone know?
