| Question #2: Letting Hair Grow Hi All! I want Benji to look like a Yorkie and let his hair grow a bit around the face. Any ideas on a leave in conditioner I can spray or wipe on his hair so it stays straight down. I also want to know what is the best type of comb or brush to use. Thanks for the suggestions. |

Yorkie Kisses are the Best! Donating Member | Chris Christensen System - ICE on ICE is a great leave in - and also Johnsons No More Tangles helps keep them matt free - and there are several oils also - Liquid Silk is super nice and smells FANTASTIC on brushes - I use about 4 different kinds on my girls - they both have long hair. |

| your girls are beautiful! I want Benji to look something like them. I know it's not practical because I'm sure it requires constant attention. What happens when they eat or take a drink of water? As it is now, Benji comes up soaked from the water bowl. Also, how often do you bathe your babies? Thanks. |

the products I use help lots....CC Systems & Plush Puppy Products - I brush them everyday ....and since Chanel is a total Water monster and plays in the hose almost every day....she does get more baths than my youngest.... I try not to shampoo her every time - I usually throw some conditioner on her - then rinse her off really well and ALWAYS use the leave in products - her hair is so soft now and feels totally different than before when I didn't use it - When she eats/drinks her hair is long enough to stay Outside the bowl...but occasionally gets drenched and I use a towel. I've had them short and now long and prefer long... but short is WAY cute also ! | |

| I am definitely going to check out those products. And I'm going to go for long hair. I want him to look like a yorkie and if it doesn't work out, I can always get it cut. Just one more question if you can - what do you do about the hair by the eyes until it is ready to be tied? How do you keep it out of the eyes. Thanks. |

but if you can let it grow - let it - If you have to trim it - trim a minimal amount...I did a pic for someone showing how I trim Chanel and will post it .....I actually trimmed too much in this pic - she spends LOTS of time with her little nose in the fence so I had to ... You can actually See the difference a good shampoo makes - the spying pic is from last year and her hair is in much better condition long due to the products I talked about and taking care of it every day - If I can't really groom her ...I use a little spray on her to keep her hair from drying in the sun outside -
