| Hydrocephalus I have a puppy with hydrocephalus. She is almost 9 wks old and cannot walk but is very determined to get around. Can anyone give me advice on what I can do to help her? She is getting stronger everyday. She weighed less than 3.5 oz at birth and is now around 14 oz. She is eating canned puppy food mixed with a formula that is supposed to promote healthy brain development. I am trying to give her the best shot possible for a quality life, any and all advice will be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance. |

| Oh I'm so sorry...my baby also has hydro. She was 3 yrs old in Nov and was diagnosed at about 1 yr old. How did you find out yours has this? Is it severe? And she has symptoms at such a young age? Have you seen a neurologist yet? Is she on medication yet? Wow...I have so many questions, as you must too! pm me with any questions and I'll try to help. If you can give me more info I can tell you what I do or how she acts, etc. Here is a brilliant website. Please read everything you can and you may consider what they have to say regarding how to handle seizures...that is, if your baby has them yet?? And if she doesn't, she will. This is a horrible and scary ordeal but it can be managed depending on the severity, etc.... http://www.canine-epilepsy-guardian-...rocephalus.HTM Trina
