| Car Sick Ideas I think we figured it out --- every time we would take Mattie in the car he would get sick and throw up. So this weekend we started taking shorter trips, just to the beach and back. And we have made it twice now without throwing up. Only about a 5 min. ride one way. Does anyone have any other suggestions. shelley

| Dont drive so crazy. Just kidding, trying to give it a bump up. Maybe a good car seat, unless you have one. The shorter rides sound good, getting him used to it. When I was a kid I used to get car sick all the time. Found out it was from parents smoking & the smoke affected me.

| I would also suggest a car seat. Howie has one of the Snoozer car seats and he loves it. Also, the FDA just approved the first car sickness medicine for dogs. You might want to look into it. http://www.digitaljournal.com/article/129296

| How oold is your pup? Mine got car sick until he was about six months old, but has been fine ever since. Don't know what brought about the change, maybe just getting older. I don't know of anything you can do to alleviate it, but just keep baby wipes on hand! Also, invest in a good car seat if you have not already, this will atleast keep the pooch stable in one spot.

| We just recently took a trip to NC which is about a 6-7 hour haul for us & we decided to take Punky with us bc we couldn't bare to leave her with anyone so we were a little hesitant. She was SO good, slept in her carrier almost the entire time...we will definitely be taking her with us from now on. Have you tried keeping him in a carrier while you are in the car? We let Punky out a few times as well to socialize & cuddle! =) Hope it helps!
