| Hi! I'm New and have a Yorkiechon and a Shih Tzu Hi: I have a 1/2 Yorkshire Terrier 1/2 Bichon Frise mix. Since I cannot find much info on that mix online (yet), I thought I'd check out this website. Since my pup seems to exhibit WAY more Yorkie tendencies not to mention looks more Yorkie than Bichon. She is 7 months old. I also have a 3 year old Shih Tzu. Both are spayed females. The Shih Tzu is very mellow and a love-bug. She only has eyes for us (her people!). The "yorkiechon" however, is all over the place! So quick! She is a challenge to train compared to the docile Shih Tzu! I wonder if anyone has problems with their Yorkie when they are in bed asleep? When mine is asleep she is sooooooo possessive over her territory, if my Shih Tzu comes anywhere near she flashes "that look", and then lunges at her in a snake-bite like fashion. We're trying to correct this behavior, but it is difficult. She also does that to us also if she's asleep in her own bed. We just come over to pet her or say hi and watch out!!!! Otherwise (when not trying to sleep) she is a sweetheart. I'll attempt to attach a picture of my two ladies to this post. |

| Thanks for your welcomes! Here's a closer pic of Abbie, my Yorkiechon. Isn't she cute? She is older now and looks more like a Yorkie, when I find a recent picture I'll post it too. :-) |

| " Welcome " to YT. Your furbabies are so.... cute. I have a 11 month old Yorkie and a almost 3 year old Shih Tzu, both males, that we just adopted from a rescue about 2 weeks ago. I can relate to the different personalities. Same here, my Yorkie is Mr. Personality so to speak and my Shih Tzu is so layed back. I don't have any suggestions for your sleeping problem. Sorry Just wanted to say, Thanks for letting us all see your cute furbabies.

| My yorkie acts something like that. She just does not appreciate being "touched" when she's sleeping! Not in every situation though. But her lounges and snarley sounds are so harmless....she just makes noise really! But if she isn't expecting to get touched and she is surprised, she will do that! We tell her "be nice" but I'm not too worried about it since she doesn't really hurt us or her sister...she just sounds tough! LOL

| Welcome to YT! I have a yorkie/bichon mix also, named Teddy Bear. He is very laid back and a wonderful little boy. I got him at 7 weeks and he just turned 3 yrs old. I think he is more yorkie looking too. Your babies are both beautiful. Teddy Bear looked a lot like your little Abbie when he was a puppy. The person I got him from called him a "Bichonkie". LOL
