| Help with a top knot? Hi everyone, I was trying to do a top knot on Princess Pia but honestly I have no idea what I'm doing. I took a few pics to show what I did but I know its not right Does anyone have any tips on how to make these look right? Also, what size bows are good to use? Anyone have any suggestions on where I can get some pretty solid red ones? Should they be a clip? The one thats in her hair has a rubber band on it. BTW.... this is only for fun I just really wanna know how to do these. Eventually on Trixie also but her hair is taking forever to come back in Thanks everyone!!

| First get the tiny rubber bands from the dentist that they use on braces. They don't cut up the hair so much. Next, part the hair from each outside corner of the eyes and run the part to the middle of the hair. part this section into two, parting it from ear to ear. Put a clip of some kind on the front section and let it just hang while you take the back section and do a little back combing for more fullness. Put a rubber band on it. Smooth the front section over the back section and add another rubber band. Don't make this too tight at the skull or your dog will look more Asian than English. |

Oh thank you for that link I definately didn't do all that, LOL! I pretty much just put the hair band in and didn't pull the hair all the way through. Like I do with my own hair when I'm lazy

| Thanks for sharing the detailed instructions. I am just starting to learn these things. Just wondering, can anyone offer advice on how to keep your Yorkie still while your doing this??? lol I can get the hair as far as the point it is pulled up and in between my fingers, then at that point, we move our little heads up and down and all around, and Mommy gets the rband in all discombobulated, and we have a "slopnot" instead of a topknot!
