| great news, but need some help!!! GREAT NEWS! I GOT MY NEW YORKIE LAST NIGHTTT!!! but I need LOTS of help. I just brought home a new male 7 week old yorkie and my female yorkie, Lexi who will be 2 yrs old in May is acting almost scared of him and she refuses to go near him. He doesn't mind her but even if he is sleeping she freaks out if you even try to sit her next to him. What can I do to help her get over her fear? I dont want my babies not being friends!! PLEASE help!!!

| Congratulations on your new baby! Would love to see pics. Give Lexi time and patience and lots of extra love. Your Lexi's whole world has been turned upside down -- she went from having you exclusively to haveing to share you. It will take some time for her to adjust -- be sure to re-assure her that she is loved |

BANNED! | Dont force them together and let it happen on its own. Make sure lexi gets all the attention shes used to so she doesnt feel left out and they will bond on their own in time!!! Congrats on the new edition. |

| Last January I went to Michigan to pick up my Carson from a breeder. My tiny Miss Abby was 2 and she was freeking out when I put him in the car to go home and avoided him for almost 2 weeks. I let them adjust and now a year later they are best buddies playing together all the time and sleeping next to each other at night. If you get upset Lexi will feel your stress and will react, trust me in time they will work it out. Janie |

| I agree... dont force her to be friends yet. Give it time. Pressuring her will make her be upset with you. In time they will be best friends. I too, just brought home a new baby. She is doing quite well. My almost 2 yr old, is a little more unsure than my 10 month old. But thank heavens they all have sweet temperments. But hope it all works out. Which I'm sure it will.

| I agree, it takes time. We have had Max for over 3 weeks, & MIsha is just starting to warm up to him. Piper only took a couple of days. I think it depends on the age. The older the dog you have the longer it takes to warm up to the new one.
