| Enlarged heart in a Yorkie... My mom's Yorkie, Charlie, is 9.5 months old and has started coughing after running... I know Yorkies can develop that 'reverse sneeze' and we thought that was it, but my mom got concerned and had her little guy x-rayed. His heart is bigger than the norm, does wnyone here know what that means?? The pup goes for a consultation tomorrow but I'm scarried that it's serious, my mom had to put her old dog to sleep recently, she'd be devasteted if that's something serious... I hope it's something that medicines can help with

| I don't know anything about this, but just wanted to say I'll keep the baby in my prayers that it is nothing serious.

Donating YT 30K Club Member | My second Yorkie, Zorro was diagnosed with an enlarged heart at 5 years and lived to be 13 years old with no problems. So hopefully your Mom's pup will be fine.

| My parents yorkie poo was diagnosed with an enlarged heart and he's doing just fine. He's almost 6 years old, and the heart thing hasn't affected him one bit. And he goes on long runs with my dad. |

| Sorry to hear that! But from the few responses here already, it seems the outlook can stay good so...good luck.
