Silver hair question My little Bijou is getting a little hair to grow on her head and face. She really hasn't had any pretty hair to speak of. Changed her diet, which seems to be helping slowly but surely. My question is this, she is beg. to get some silver hair on the top of her head. Almost white looking. Is that normal? We have to guess about her age due to the puppymiller being pretty dishonest about most aspects of this dog. According to her APR papers she is 25 wks. The vet had guessed only 12 wks when I got her making the vets guess today at 19 weeks. Her hair on her back is still pretty short though. No length coming in there. Would post pics but my batteries are dead.

Congratulations with you new baby. Yes, the silvery hair on the top of the head is normal. It will, eventually, turn to tan or gold. Buddy had the same thing as a pup. Carol & Buddy

Thanks for the reply. Glad to hear it's normal. Started thinking "what other things could go wrong for this baby". LOL. What age does it start turning another color? How old was your baby when he started getting that white?

| Their hair can continue to change in color and texture until around 18 mos, even two years. Ginger was about a year and a half when her hair stopped changing...At 12 mos. she still had a lot of black, that's all gone now. Bernie's just 14 mos now and it seems that the color of his hair on his back still may be "adjusting", it's hard to tell.

silver Hi MsCheryle478, no need to worry ... My little boy was turning silver at a young age which also worried me, he is now beautiful tan/black color at 5.5 yrs. Jamie is my first Yorkie so everything I thought that was strange I inquired about...Your baby will be BEAUTIFUL and LOVING I'm sure
