| Some more beginner questions... I may have asked these... I don't remember (I have MS and sometimes have a poor memory) My puppy is 9 weeks old now, is doing pretty good. He was going on his pee pad about 95% of the time, now all of a sudden he rarely uses it... is he testing me?? Also when he eats.. his entire body shudders for a while after he is done eating?? (and the food is not cold) Is he chewing me all the time because he's a puppy? I mean ALL the time... and do your dogs allow you to put the sweaters and things on them? Duke hates it.. and goes nuts every time I try to put anything on him... clothing, harness, color, etc... Will he outgrow this? It's been so long since I've had a puppy (about 15 years) that i can't remember. (my other two were labs, and they never cared what I did to them) thank you in advance for your help |

Yes. You're in for a good deal of chewing yet. Bully sticks are good to keep them chewing on something besides you and your furniture. Just toss them away when they get too short so they can't swallow the small bit whole. Clothing. Just keep at it. Eventually, he'll take to it. But if he's not going out when you are putting it on him, then there is really no reason to force it on him if he doesn't like it other than to keep him warm. Most yorkies prefer nudity to wearing clothes anyway. Food. What are you feeding him?

| I have the same pee pad issues, we did great at first..now, geez I am lucky if he looks at them. We are working on it though.... The teething last a while. We are still in the stage also...it hurts!!!! But the most toys he has at his disposal the better.... My little guy had clothes put on him by me on the drive home..I am not sure he likes it necessarily but he tolerates it..I'd say just be persistent with the clothes and he will get used to them in no time!! Good luck!! |
