| I always have Stypic Powder on hand, just in case anything happens. I have the vet or groomers trim their nails but you just never know when there might be an accident or something . Here's a link where you can buy some online http://www.ehow.com/buy_13271_styptic-powder.html or you can easily pick up some at any petstore like Petsmart. |

| I accidentally cut Timmy's nail too much once and didn't know what to do to stop the bleeding..of course I came on YT and heard flour works. So I used it and it stopped the bleeding right away. |

| I think it's called kwik stop but if you can't find it the syptic pencil men use when they cut themselves shaving works

| See, never know when an old thread will save the day. My husband and kids took the animals (2 dogs, 2 cats) to the vet this morning for shots. Even though I told all three of them to remember to get Tatum's nails cut, they all forgot. Tatum used to let me do it when she was really small but in the past year or so, she has absolutely refused to lay down for it. Well, I thought I'd try again. She actually did awesome with the help of one of the kids talking to her but then on the last foot, I got one a little short and it wouldn't stop bleeding. We don't have any syptic powder but I checked here real quick and did a quick search to find that flour was the home remedy. Worked like a charm! Tatum's feeling are a little sore right now but I think she'll forgive me one day.
