Getting a Yorkie Chi I am getting a yorkie chi in about six weeks. I am thinking of the name Summerlin. What do you guys think? I already have a yorkie poo named Woody. We also have some other dogs that live outside - Kojak (black lab), Nibble, Buddy, Pepsi, Junior, Freckles, and Gypsy are all hunting dogs. I really like the name Summerlin - I have tried to get my children to say it, and it comes out ok from their mouths (big issue sometimes ). So, any thoughts? Thanks for the advice.

I am so excited! I have been calling the breeder every two or three days to see how she is doing. I will definitely post pictures. I had originally decided to name her Yvegeny (rhymes with Ebony) but my youngest son has a rather severe speech disability and couldn't say it. Of course, I want him to be able to call her by her right name as well. I have always liked the name Summer, so I just started playing around with a few names that I liked, and eventually came up with Summer Lynn, but I decided to make it into one word - Summerlin. My husband laughed his butt off at my logic, but it made perfect sense to me

I like it! I use the same logic and my husband thinks I'm nuts too. We were trying to help a friend name their parrot so I came up with noname...not pronounced how it looks. You say it with a long o, short a and long e sound so it almost sounds American Indian or something. I thought it was cute...he thought it was goofy.
