My Tiny Treasures Donating Member | Oh how exciting ! Congrats! I've never had a pup shipped to me but I am shipping my first pup in March. How long is your pups flight? My breeding mentor has shipped 48 pups in her 30 years of breeding and has never had any problems. I personaly, would open up that kennel as soon as I could and hold her/him. Good luck !!! I'll be looking for an update to see how it all went. Good Luck !!! |

Congrats on your new baby, and good luck. Take wet wipes, and a water bottle with you, she may want a drink, if it's cold, take a blanket with you to wrap her in. Waiting to hear more, and see pics

I had my yorkie shipped to me. He arrived cool and calm and waiting to see who was going to do something for him next. my girlfriends puppy arrived to her the same way as mine. An acquaintance however had her dog shipped the follwing week, the person shipped it with water that sloshed out on him, he arrived terrified soaking wet and cold. Same airline, different breeders. I think it all depends who ships, the puppys temperment and how well they handle things. You should just get the pup home asap IMO.

I would take a towel, a drink of water, and some nutrastat or nutri drops. Im sure its been stressful for puppy on the ride. SIt down and Take her out of the kennel and give her a big kiss and love her up a bit! THen squirt some nutrastat in her mouth. If you dont have that, I like to use honey.

First off let me say congrat on your new baby. I would take a wet wash cloth in case it has made a mess and a towel to dry the baby. Take some Nutri Cal with you and I would give it about the size of a pea when you take it out. I would of course take the baby out as soon as I am in my vehicle as I am sure it will be scared and nervous. You should hold it and love on it to reassure it. I have shipped several over the years and they have been fine. But I give mine Nutri Cal right before they leave me for their flight. And ask that the new owner gives the puppy Nutri Cal for about a week after they get the puppy, this is given twice a day in my experience. Good Luck.

Sounds like you got good advice, water and nutra-cal being the most important. Okay - we want to see pictures and who did you get your baby from? We are so happy for you. I am glad you finally found one. Best Wishes! T.
