| New Yorkie...no name! Help!!! Hello Yorkie lovers!! I am new to this group (about 30 minutes ago) and wanted to throw a question out there...I just purchased a little female 7 weeks old (would have rather left her with her mother another couple weeks or so!) She is a definite black and tan (unless she is like some of my horses and changes colors when getting older). Full of spunk! We take her outside every hour for pottying and then she promptly potties on the floor...she whines constantly unless held...(just trying to form a verbal picture). She hops instead of walks and she chases my six year old son around like a litter mate. I have raised Giant Schnauzer's in the past and never had a problem coming up with a name...now?! I'm at a loss and would love some suggestions. Oh, and by the way, I have a St. Bernard that she adores (feeling is mutual) and a poodle she torments and I've only had her 3 days! Please HELP!!!! My brain doesn't seem to be working, she needs a name!!!! Thanks! |

| Welcome! I'm no good at choosing a name, since there are so many cute ones out there, but if we get a female we're thinking of Carly!

| Your baby sounds so sweet. I named my babies Pookie and Boo Boo, and I think those are wonderful names for Yorkies. Other names I like are Pumpkin, Button, Boodles, Princess, and Precious. Spunky would also be a good name for your new dog. By the way, please let us know your baby's new name. |
