| urgent! Need help! I just came back from the doctor and it appears that I am battling a very aggressive form of breast cancer. My plans are to have more tests done here in Oklahoma City and then go to MD Anderson in Houston. I have two yorkies now. Max is 4 years old and we have just added 9 week old baby Maggie. They would have to live in our motor home which will be parked near the hospital. I am looking for a foster home to help me keep these little sweet things safe while I am enduring surgery and follow up treatment. I just need a Houston contact who is a yorkie owner that could occasionally take them out of the motor home and let them have a break. I will be leaving for Houston next week. If anyone could help me please let me know. Max's and Maggie's mom

| I am devastated to hear your news and have already sent up a heartfelt prayer. I sure wish I knew someone in Houston, but I don't. HOWEVER, if you call down to MD Anderson and ask to speak with someone in social services there, they may be able to help you. That is their job....to be that helpful and friendly bridge between "home" and hospital. If they can't help you, call the Cancer Society in Houston. They may have some volunteers with small dogs that could help you. Also, if you are a member of a church or synagogue, a Houston church may have someone to help you. You could access churches through the hospital chaplain's service. In the meantime, I'll keep thinking.......and praying..... Gentle hugs to you and the little guys, Love, Mary Ellen & Higgins |

Yorkie Kisses are the Best! Donating Member | I just got the email this second...I'm sooo sorry about the cancer - how very scary for you. MD Anderson is one of the absolute best places to treat something like this - and I'll be glad to help ! I'm happy to do whatever I can....Even if they need to stay a night or two at my house that's fine too. The less stress you feel now is really important so please free your mind...I'll make sure your babies are just fine. I have 2 myself and they love other yorkies if it comes to that ! so just keep me posted on all that is going on with you. Besides myself...there is Barbara..(Whimseys mom) on YD who also is very generous with her time and I'll let her know also about your situation. Keep your chin up ! You'll have alot of people praying for you ! My first name is Villette and I'll email fasteddie my main email that I see all the time. She pm'd me and I'll go back and give it to her now ! |

| Thank you thank you You all will never know how much I appreciate your prayers and offers of help. I worried so much about max and maggie too......my husband and I will be traveling to Houston soon..unless my physical health prevents it. I can hardly stand the thought of them stuck in the motor home for days....I sincerely thank you from the bottom of my heart. Max's and Maggie's mom

| Max and Maggie's Mom, I live in Beaumont, that is about an hour SE of Houston. I will do what ever you need to help you with this difficult time. My two Rudy and Maddie will be happy to have some new friends to play with. I will PM you my numbers. I am going to email two of my good friend that had breast cancer and went to MD Anderson in the last couple of years. I will find out all the info that might help. They are both alive today because of the care they got at MD Anderson. You and your family are in my prayers and I will do what ever I can to help you.................Cindy |

| Max & Maggie's Mom, I am so sorry for your diagnosis! I wish Toto and I were near Houston and could be of some help. Sounds like Villette will be able to give a hand! You could not be in a better place than MD Anderson!! Our friends recently faced a similar situation with very agressive prostate cancer. They were wonderful to him there and he has had a successful surgery and has been diagnosed "cancer free". It was a miracle! God has certainly placed some of His best doctors at MD Anderson! We will be praying and believing for you!
