| I just found out: ya know, this is hard even for me to believe. I know I use to resent kizzy because I wanted a smaller dog but I tell you, she has grown up to be pretty to me and she is pretty smart for her age to me. Other day we were in the LR and she just started barking at God knows what. I'm sure she heard, smelled or saw something we could neither see, hear or smell. This is funny to me, anyway. I said "kizzy, quit acting stupid" well she ran down the kitchen and hall towards the back door, and barked a few more times and started back thru and I said" come here kizzy" I took her face in my hands and pulled her towards my face real close, I said "Kizzy, your a smart girl and nobody likes a stupid dog, but your acting stupid, barking just to hear yourself". Well she sat there and looked at me like hmm, maybe she is right. then she went over and laid down. since then, theres been a some more barking episodes and each time I say, "Kizzy, quit acting stupid" and by george, she might bark once and i tell her again then she might bark under her breath, just a little. but then she will quit barking and go sit or lay down. Now I know dogs dont have a clue what stupid means. So I'm thinking its just the tone of my voice she is understanding, that I dont want her to do that. Anyway, She may never act like she understands stupid again, but she did those times then again last night. I've been actually feeling a little stupid myself for thinking she believes shes stupid when she does that. ROFLMAO. But its all true. So I'll keep telling her dont act stupid when she is just barking at nothing and see how long it works. I'm still laughing just thinking at her expression when I held her face in my hand and explained that she wasnt stupid.
