| I feel a LUMP..... I rub and pet Evie all the time and I have never felt this before. I was rubbing her just now and felt a lump near her rib area between the skin and bone. What do I do? |

Push her hair aside and see if it is an ingrown hair? Bug Bite? If not I would take her in on Monday and have it checked. Bailey had a lump (mass) on her head that I just happened to notice the night before she was getting spayed. They removed it during surgery and it was biopsied. Thank goodness it was benign. It had just popped up out of nowhere, Evie's is most likely nothing.

| No I checked and moved her hair - it is under the skin and move when I move her skin around. I am so worried. It must have just popped up. It was not there earlier tonight. |

| Oh you poor thing. I can imagine how worried you must be. I hope she is ok and I would get it looked at just to be safe.

The best thing if it is not bothering her to leave it alone, just keep an eye on it over the weekend, and take her in to have the vet look at it. Always better to be on the safe side. Most likely it is just a bump, your vet will probley just advise you to watch it and let them know if it changes at all.

| She does not act like it hurts her when I touch it; however, I am barely touching it. It does feel soft. My husband seems to think maybe a cyst. Our vet lives down the street from us. I know him and his family very well. I am going to call him first thing in the morning. I just hope it is nothing serious |

| Update Well we took her to the vet yesterday and he said he thinks the spot is where he gave her a shot a couple of weeks ago. He said not to worry unless it got larger or if she started running fever. He said is should go away soon. Courtney |

| My yorkie had a spot on him where the hair was missing. I took him to the vet and he made some calls back to the vet where he got his very first shots and came to find out that it was from where they gave him a shot and the vaccine that was used caused problems and they discontinued it 3 months after. But it felt like a cyst and the hair wont grow back but wont lose no more either. Its about the size of a dime now after they did a biopsy of the area. |

| Bella had the same thing where she got a shot. Right below the skin about the size of a pea. It stayed there about 2 mos. and it finally went away. I hope this helps..

| After reading your story I also remembered Buddy having a lump where he got a shot for at least a week. I am glad your baby is ok. Carol & Buddy |

| Snickers had a lump about pea-size from his rabies shot. The vet checked it out and said not to worry, just to keep an eye on it. It eventually went away after a couple of weeks.
