| Is she a tiny? Adie has now reached the weight of 4 lbs 4 oz. Is she considered a tiny or is she just a small yorkie? |

| I think a tiny is considered anything under 4lbs by breeders. She is a very small yorkie though. I like that weight though and that is the weight i would seek if I were looking for a small one. Still small but not so fragile

| How old is she? If she is still a puppy she is still within standard which is below 7lbs. If she has not fully grown yet she could get bigger. As long as she stays at or below the standard weight. Anything below 4lbs at full adult weight maybe considered "tiny", anything 4 to 7 is normal standard. Hope this helps, I am sure others will give you there opinions who know more then I do on this subject! |

| Jaden is 4 pounds and 2 years old and I consider him small. Her certainly looks tiny and is one of the tiniest yorkies I've ever seen...of course now that I have Jewelina who is currently 1 pound 8 ounces, I consider her VERY tiny and Jaden just "tiny" but she's only 11 weeks old. |

| My little guy is never anymore than 5lbs, usually hes b/t 4.5 - 5lbs depending on the day/week! He is normal my vet said. My other guy is b/t 7.5 - 8lbs and he is considered a large yorkie. Kind of funny how 8lbs is large huh? Anyways, I read somewhere that anything under 5lbs is considered teacup. I know teacup is a made up term breeders use to describe tiny yorkies, but I guess anything under 5 lbs is considered on the very small side of standard. |

| There is no real weight breakdown other than the standard being under 7 pounds. But, I would not say a Yorkie over 4 pounds would be a tiny. I think if you were to look at JUST the Yorkies within standard weight the "mean" would probably be around 5 pounds.

| I think that's tiny. Of course, I have seen 'tiny' yorkies that weigh more than anyone would think. My boy is tiny but very solid and heavy. (very petite features) I have seen some long/tall yorkies who hardly weigh anything.........yet they look like 7lbs.......lol That's what I love about this breed..........they are all different!!

| my girl is 4.5 lbs and I consider her small but sturdy and not at all fragile. I belong to a local yorkie meet up and she is one of the 'big' girls. We wouldn't change a thing about her and if I were to get another dog, I'd want one around this size. I can take her hiking with me and not be concerned about her getting hurt at all. |

I Love My Lil' Punkin's Donating Member | In one month Stedman will be a year old and he weighs 4 lbs. He IS actually very small, and I DO consider him to be very, very fragile. He is an extremely petite boy. Every single person that has ever seen him (other than those who already know him, and KNOW how old he is) thinks that he is still a little baby puppy - I get that ALL the time. They ask how old he is and when I tell them I get the, "WHAT!?!?!?!? That isn't possible!" comment I guess it just depends on your dogs structure. My friends Yorkie - who is only a month older than Stedman - weighs almost 5 lbs (or heck, she may already weigh 5 lbs now, I'm not sure) but she looks WAY bigger than Stedman!! It just totally blows me away

Jaden is the same way, he is very tiny, he's a petite 4 pounds and everyone always thinks he is a puppy too! LOL They'll ask me, aw, he's so tiny when did you get him? How old is he? and I'll be like...he's 2 and then there faces look something like this I asw a 4.5 pound boy yorkie at the vet and he looked almost twice as big as Jaden, his bone structure was much larger and he looked more long and lanky. Jadens really tiny and compact. | |

| Mine are so the opposite of that! hahaha My little guy is 4.5lbs but he is very very fragile! He feels soooo light and his little bones feel sooo fragile and he is short & compact but very light! My other guy is 8lbs roughly and he feels heavier than that! He is long with long legs! actually im surprised he is only 8lbs, he looks heavier/bigger than that! But he feels solid & sturdy, I never really worry about him getting hurt! |
