| Credible? Or scam? ... I was just on craigslist and came upon this ad: http://losangeles.craigslist.org/wst/pet/260623203.html So I wrote them an e mail: "HI, he is absolutely adorable! How much is the adoption fee? And why are you selling him?? I have a yorkie around his age already, but would love a companion for him : )" And this is the reply: "We rescue dogs through an independent rescue called Pixie's Pals and so he came from a shelter with the intent to re-home. He is such an angel that I would definitely keep him if we had room! His adoption fee is $250 and you will never find a sweeter happier puppy. I foster a lot of little ones but he is really a special one. Let me know if you would like to meet him! " I tried googling Pixie Pal's but I can't find any information on them. And 250 seems to be to good to be true, even for adoption fees, just because it's a yorkshire terrier in california... Do shelters even let people foster dogs with the intent to re-home... Advice anyone?? Thanks!! Peggy |

I ♥ Joey & Ralphie! Donating Member | You might find this thread interesting. http://www.yorkietalk.com/forums/sho...hlight=shelter She found a dog at animal shelter and a dog rescue group beat her out of it. The dog pictured, I'm sure will go very fast. So don't hesitate too long. Nancy |

I ♥ Joey & Ralphie! Donating Member | I just found this at the American Kennel Club. Martha Lewis is in charge of rescue groups for the Yorkshire Terrier Club of America. She might be familiar with the rescue group Pixie's Pals. Martha Lewis; Marlew@earthlink.net. Nancy |
