| Need suggestions I got my new baby yesterday. She is 7 months old, and we decided to name her Candi. But, she arrived to me very thin, dirty and not socialized. Not exactly what I was expecting. I asked all the questions several times. She has the sweetest face and she wants to be loved but she is scared. You have to approach her slowly. What I need help with is her coat, it is very thin and stringy. And how do I get her to trust me? I would appreciate any help thanks! |

| It is so sad that she came that way. The pictures you showed us before...she looked clean and happy. I don't think it will take much time for her to feel loved, secure and comfy in your home. I don't know much about how to improve the coat, but I'm sure others will. Maybe her adult coat will come in thicker? That is unbelievable that anyone would ship a pup that hasn't had a bath and looking spiffy. I can imagine how surprised you were at that, but just give her lots of love, food and kisses and she'll be trusting and loving you in no time! Maddie sends kisses to Candi and Mia!!! Congrats on your new baby!!!

| does she run and hide from you or doesnt come when you call her ? an easy way to have her become accustom to you and your movements is use a harness and tie the lead to your belt hoop, let her follow you around ....when your sitting too keep her tied she will lay down next to you... it will take time for her to trust you, the more praise and patience the better...Ive found bathing and grooming a bonding time too if done very gently and with tons of praise. good luck with her and congrats

| I guess you can get/give her a puppy cut.... maybe the new hair will be thicker. Hopefully after some time she will come out of her shell... some pups do stay "nervous" even after time..... All the best to you and your new yorkie.

| No she doesn't run and hide. She doesn't come when you call her. And sometimes when you go to pet her she cowards down like she is afraid we are going to hit her. |

| I have a lil yorkie with a thin coat like that but it never got thicker, but it was really easy maintenance! One thing to remeber when she cowers or acts afraid, don't baby her. If you fuss when she acts like that she will think that is how to get your attention. Kenzie willa ct up and start to shake, we usually tell her to quit it and ignore her. The fear act stops and she tries being silly and happy and that gets more attention.

| I hope she wasn't abused. It is bad enough that she was neglected. |

| She is a cutie pie! Maybe a puppy cut might work, she'll look adorable in one with a face like that.
