| Question about my baby's weight/development I have a question about my T.O.'s weight...he is about 3 months old and weighs 1lb 9oz give or take how much he has eaten... I originally got him thinking he would at least be a lb or so heavier right now and would keep growing..I know he will keep growing but I am wondering if anyone has had one around this same weight at a similar age? I worry that he is too tiny..I know there are lots much smaller but I was just wondering what to expect..can I hope for maybe 5lbs?? maybe more? from the growth charts, it says he will be very small but I am almost worried about him being so little. We had health issues when I first got him...coccidia, but it has been gone for quite some time and he eats healthy...like a bird sometimes but he eats regularly... Any advice would be appreciated, Lauren |

| My yorkie, Dylan only weighed 1.5 lbs at 12 weeks and now at almost a year old he weighs almost 6 lbs. He's not fat either, he just got a slow start I guess. He also had coccidia when I got him from the breeder and we had to do a couple of rounds of Albon before we got rid of the parasite. He's been healthy ever since. Good luck with your baby. I'm sure he will be fine and maybe he will get bigger then the charts estimate. It was sure way off for mine. |

| You never know after having neuter and spay, pups can gain some more weight too! Haruka had hard time eating when I got her, but now she eats like a pig! Even she is still small, I am happy with her body structure because she looks very healthy.. SO whatever the size your pup is gonna be, being healthy will be the most important thing. Also nobody can predict the weight for your pup! because only god knows So no worry!

| I think he will be in the 3 lb range but he could go through a growth spurt and be more than that you never know. Now that he has recovered from having coccidia hopefully he stays healthy. There are alot of people on here with healthy smaller yorkies

| This is all good to know! I worry too much...that is for sure..but after our very very rough beginning, I cannot help it..my boyfriend thinks I am nuts the way I baby T.O. but I just can't help but remember feeding him with a syringe every two hours...he eats like a piggle now...sometimes anyways and he plays with my roommates pug..much larger but luckily a lazy little turkey so it works out...she lets him torture her and she loves him to pieces..they have competitive eating a few times a day..which mommy loves cause my little man is eating alot...well, he only hangs in there for a few good minutes...and then he grazes while she snores on the couch!! |

| My pup was about 1.5 lbs at 10/11 weeks, but he was gaining quickly, like a pound each month! He's 5 lbs and a little over 7 months, seems he slowed down with growing, but he's never been a good eater, I have no clue where all that 'mass' comes from LOL

| T.O.'s weight Remember how small his Mom and Dad are..... Mom is only 3lbs and Dad is 4lbs. He may be just a little guy . Sounds like he is doing well, and I'm so very glad. By the way, I have another litter coming any day...... Thanks Kathy Quote:
