BANNED FOR NOT MAILING PRODUCTS PURCHASED | A little to Ruff! every evening my husband and Lillie has "Daddy and Lillie time" she is in bed with us and he starts fuzzing with her, by pulling her hair and just playing with her and she just loves it. I get upset cause I think he is hurting her, but she keeps coming back for more. He makes her yelp and I get mad. But Lillie loves it! Is this just harmless play? |

| If she is yelping, he is playing too rough (IMHO).

| I would think that if he were hurting her she would't go back for more.

| I tend to agree with FirstYorkie, if she is yelping, it's probably too rough. |

| Gotta remember the 'terrier' in Yorkshire Terrier. They'll keep coming back for more. Personally I don't like rough play becomes it becomes a part of their character and it's hard to get them to play nice then. |

| I had to laugh... this is exactly what happens at our house! My hubby and Phoebe play in bed... and she ends up yelping, backing off, then coming back for more. He insists that he's not hurting her, though, and he really loves her alot, so I know he's not. I think she just gets startled cuz he'll grab her back leg or something. She adores him, though, and he knows when she's had enough. She rolls over all humble like, and he gives her loves. It's so adorable how these huge men adore these little tiny 4 lb. babies! I love watching him turn into a mush ball with her! Of course it was the same way with all my baby girls (I have three skin daughters too). Deb |

| I wouldn't want her yelping...if she is coming back for more, maybe it is her coming back for revenge and not more play?? I dunno. I have issues with my hubby ruff housing with maggie because i don't want to encourage her to have an attitude and feel like any time someone is playing with her that she can get snippy and stuff. I have seen many yorkies (and other small breeds) that are very moody. and I don't want maggie like that if it is at all possible to avoid it. I would say that if you don't mind him playing with her, just tell him to make sure he goes a little easier. i couldn't stand to hear maggie yelp...i would get so angry.

My husband also adores Lillie and he insists he's not hurting her. Lillie loves this game. I'm just there to protect her when she's had enough, but when I take her in my arms, she's still trying to get at him lol | |

Donating YT 11K Club Member | IDK cuz London is a tiny little thing and she does the same thing with Teddy. They play rough and she will yelp occasionally and I will pick her up or separate them but she will bark and wag her tail and try to run back to him. She does it all the time, even though I figure Teddy won't hurt her intentionally I still separate them. |
