| Does your Yorkie(s) sleep with you?? Just curious because yesterday Bailey's trainer asked the class if anyone of our dog sleep with us and Bailey doesn't sleep with us but today we went took a nap and I bought Bailey in the bed........When the trainer asked this I think she was imposing that this was not a good idea. Does anyone know why? I'll be sure to ask her on our next class meeting though.

| Rocky sleeps right next to me! I think it's not reccomended though because it lets the dog think he/she is the Alpha, but I could be wrong. Also with yorkies, people are probably afraid of rolling on them and crushing them.

| They sure do Yep they sure do. My husband drives a truck at night and I love the dogs being in there with me. I have been know to have 12 in there with me at once because the puppies like to sleep in there too once they are old enough. I have stairs by the bed for them to get up and down on and if I decide to put them in the kennels for the night they get upset with me and bark forever so I usually break down and go get them anyway. I know I would get a better nights sleep if they werent there but then I miss them too much. Barb |

| Tiki Tiki sleeps with her daddy and I every night...she actually has to be right on my right shoulder curled up in a ball (how cute) I just love her so much i dont think i could sleep without her....one night me and her daddy acted like we were going to bed without her and it was hilarious because she came up to the bed and started crying it was the cutest thing ever, Im not sure why they think its a bad idea though

| Nope. My husband would never allow it. Especially after we 1st got her and she got worms. The breeder said no matter how well she's taken care of that would always be an issue. Doing married stuff and looking over and seeing her looking at you is freaky. She like a kid, so she's not allowed in the bedroom just in case something happens. Everywhere else she's fine when we travel we throw extra pillows on the floor on my husbands side of the bed. and she can take naps on the couch but that's as close as she gets. Why a trainer wouldn't think it's a good idea I don't know but it's probably is dominance thing. |

| Yep, me too! I have 4 sleeping right next to me, well one does hog my pillow! Gigi loves to sleep on my pillow right above my head. She is totally clean, so no worries. I think it makes us closer to them. They are my babies! Hehehe, I have been married for 30 years - not much happening in my bedroom but sleep! T. |

| Our boyz both sleep with us and we've never had any dominance issues. I love to feel them snuggled up against me and for them to wake my up to go out side and see the sunrise every morning! |

| In the wild, the Alpha dog sleeps higher than the other dogs. If they sleep by you then they see themselves on the same level as you so they do not see you as being dominant. That being said, Rosie does sleep by me. She doesn't mind her crate, but I like it better when she sleeps next to me |

| Benji sleeps with me every night. If I am on vacation and just my boyfriend is home, Benji will sit at the end of the bed until he falls asleep. My boyfriend gets so jealous because sometimes he wants to snuggle up with him too!

| Absolutely!!!! All of them. My trainer said it wasn't a good idea if the dogs used the potty in the bed. But mine don't so she agreed that it worked for me and mine. So go for it! |

| Lucy sleeps right behind my knees under the cover every night. The only time I didn't let her was right after she was spayed. She slept in her carrier for a couple of nights then and wasn't happy until she was back in bed with me. Rebel sleeps in a child's playpen at night because he's so little I'm afraid he'll get lost!

| Yup, my Tucker slept with me ever night along with Teddy. I don't see anything wrong with it, as long as you watch where you roll.
