| What age does a yorkie stop growing? My baby girl, Misha is 7 months old and 3 lbs. At what age can I expect her to stop growing? I definately didn't think I was buying a tiny. I was hoping she would make it to 5 lbs or so. It seems as if she's slowed down on growing by a lot. |

| Rocky's only a year old. Around 8-9months he did grow a pound. I think he's still around the same, 6-7, but I think they can still grow even after a year, I'm not sure though.

| They are all different. Ollie was 3 pounds 10 ounces at 7 months and hse has gaine a pound since then.. She stayed at a little over 4 pounds for a long time, and then had a growth spurt at 10 months. |

| Both of my boyz stopped growing at about 7 months...after that Jo filled out a little bit but Riley stayed the same. Jo has put on a few extra ounces now that he's 2 but I think it's because it's winter and he isn't outside as much as before. |

| depends I think its different for each dog, just like people. Some have a growth spurt early and some after high school.

That does make sense. Sounds like she isn't going to make it to 5lbs. O well. Thanks. | |

| My little guy was still growing after a year, and probably topped off about a year and a half. Give her some time and see what happens.

| Chewy is probably about 5 pounds now... He is 8 1/2 months... He seems to still be growing but he grows very very slowly so I'm not sure how big he will get. He is so small he can aford to get a bit bigger!

| my baby was four pounds exactly at 6 months. now she is 8 months and we just went to the vet and she gained 1/2 pound. it really depends on the dog though. have you had her spayed yet??? bc i have heard that dogs who are spayed later grow more because of the hormones...dont know if it is true, but thats what i have heard.

| It really depends on the line. Some lines grow later while others stop growing early. The breeder should be able to tell you about when Misha's parents and grandparents stopped growing as well as previous litters from the same parents. Hope that helps!
