| We arrived in usa safe! Hi all, Well we arrived in the usa safe from uk and had a great flight. The check in lady had yorkies herself so she updraded us to premier economy for free bigger seats and more leg room. She also gave us the middle row 5 seats to ourselves and right at the front so we would be 1st off into the immigration queue. Then on the flight the flight attendants let them come out their bags for the whole flight including landing and everything. They loved them and brought them ice water all the time and ham for their supper!! We got off plane and straight through immigration and passport control really quick. They have adjusted really well, eating and drinking normally and normal "toilets" to. We are very excited to be here and I cant wait to find some good walkies places for them, were going to petsmart tomorrow for some things which will be good!! Ruthx

| Wow, you got the royal treatment!!! Most of the time yorkies have to stay in their carriers under the seat and the flight attendants will get upset if you have them out. So you moved from the UK to the US?? What made you decide to move?? I really couldn't imagine living anywhere but the US, I love it here and besides all my family is here. Glad to know your flight went well and your yorkies had no problems with the flying!!!

| Welcome to the US! Glad your flight went well -- helps to have such cute little ones -- no wonder they were giving some extra priviledge on the flight. Hope you enjoy your new home.

| Cheers for replies guys!! We moved to usa for many reasons my sister and now bother live here and I miss them so much. I am a nurse and in scotland where I live their is only 1 hospital so promotion is impossible you literaly have to wait for someone to retire! Nursing in Uk is soooooooo badly paid and we are so short staffed it is unsafe I do not like working in the NHS. My pay a month for working 40 hours a week in a Secure Forensic Psychiatric Ward as a RN with 10 years experience and a degree in Psychology was $2000. On top of that the main reason for our move is personal. We have been trying for a baby for 8 years now and had 14 IVF all either ended with a negative or a 2 month miscarriage. We were finally told we would be unable to have children and my wonderful amazing sister offered to be a surrogate for us!!! She called me and was like ENOUGH if you were lying in the hospital and needed a kidney I would be there in a flash and this is no different. She is so desperate to help us achieve our dream of being parents. So we decided thats it I couldnt live the other side of the world anymore from the person who loved me enough to give me the child I couldnt have. I also wanted to be close for the pregnancy and for my sister to see her miricle of love growing up if we were lucky enough for the surrogacy to work. So my sister is going to start trying for us once we are settled in about 6 months time!!!! Ruthx

I read of you preparing to move..so glad you are over on our side of the pond now, LOL Will it be hard for you to get your nursing license here in the US, I hope not, but you will be astounded at the pay nurses get here, my sister is one. Just wanted to say your story of your sister wanting to help you and your husband be parents is amazing and an act of true love that touched my heart. Congrats on your move-I am sure you will love it here!
