| Is there no toy good enough I am having a problem with my Yorkie, I can't find a toy he like. Well I have tried everything rattle toys, squeaker toys, even flavored bone and kongs filled with treats or peanut butter. All this and nothing holds my 6 month yorkie's attention. some toys he'll chew on for a minute or so then just walk away from them and others he smells and licks and thats it. I must have 20 different toys for him and he will not play with any of them. Is this a normal thing with Yorkies? what should I do? or is this even a problem? |

| Jazzie is super picky about her toys. She will only play with the stuffed animal type and it has to have a good squeaker or sound chip that is easy for her to make the noise. She has ZERO interest in latex, canvas, or anything that is not fuzzy and if she can't make it squeak, she's done with it! Mommy has a tough job of going to the store and annoying the store clerks and shoppers with my quest in finding the perfect squeeking toy.

| Debbie doesn't play with toys either. I got her those three squirrels in the tree and she could have cared less. She does love to chase big balls though and she loves to play fetch, catch, and tug of war with her hackey sacks. Your yorkie is perfectly normal so don't worry about it. |

| Try rotating your toys. Joey always likes a toy best if it's new. So, by picking them all up, and giving him a different one or two or every day, they seem new to him and he likes them better. You could also try putting some kibble or a dog bone in an old sock that you don't mind being destroyed.

| try this... After reading some posts, I found a suggestion to take old socks and wrap on into another and tie a knot. My yt Mimi didn't show any intrest until I did that. Then she started to play...oh what fun to watch! However yesterday she helped herself to a good sock ....uh oh. Gonna keep a close watch on that one. I guess I will train her to pick up the good ones and throw them in the washer.... |

| Mine seldom ever played by themselves. Mine would play almost forever if I was playing with them.

| None of mine were very interested in toys at that age, I think maybe some of it is teething. By nin months Lexi had chewed up all the toys she hated a month prior. My Candi will be 1 next month and she has just started wanting to play with toys, but for her she willonly play with tiny soft toys, and she loves chewing on baby blankets.

| i agree with the person who said to try socks... layla goes NUTS over socks... by FAR her favorite thing ever to play with.. and as gross as it sounds... she likes dirty ones.. her trainer says it is because it smells like me so it makes her want to play with them... try tug of war with a sock or ball it up and play fetch! |
