| I have been thinking about this myself -- there are lots of recipes online. Here are a few: http://www.geocities.com/heartland/ranch/1011/dog.htm http://gourmetsleuth.com/recipe_dogbiscuit.htm http://www.thepoop.com/pooppantry/ http://www.dogtreatrecipes.com.au/ It would be good to get some that folks had tried though. Personal reference is always reassuring.

| recipe I went to a yorkie playdate one time and some one had made these. My two just loved them and they don't look to hard to make. I haven't had time to make them yet. I have been saving this recipe to try. I have another snow storm coming my way and may be trapped again in the house and since Christmas is over I may have time to make them. Like I said, Starsky and Shylah LOVED them. Cheese and Garlic Dog Biscuits 1 1/2 c. Whole Wheat Flour 1 1/4 c. Grated Cheddar Cheese 1/4 lb. Corn Oil Margarine (Fleishmann's) 1 clove Garlic, crushed Pinch of salt Milk Grate the cheese and let stand until it reaches room temperature. Cream the cheese with the softened margarine. Add the garlic, salt, and flour. Add enough milk to form into a ball. Chill for 1/2 hour. Roll onto floured board. Cut into shapes and bake at 375 degrees for 15 minutes or until slightly brown, and firm. Makes 2-3 dozen, depending on size.

you can leave out the garlic and salt. I dont reccommend the whole wheat flour either but thats a personal choice i guess. | |

Whole wheat flour is all natural and unless your dog has a wheat allergy, it is perfectly safe to use. I only use whole wheat or unbleached flour in my dog treats. I leave out the salt and I use honey and peanut butter to sweeten the treats. My furkids go nuts when I am baking lolol There are several dog treat recepies out there. Are there any specific flavored treats you are looking for? I am sure I have a few that would fit your criteria without the salt and/or garlic.

| I got several recipes with my dog biscuit cutters. Let me know if there is a specific flavor you are interested in. I think I will substitute oat flour for what flour.
