| How Long? Hi, Bailey is now 7 and a half months old, all his adult teeth are through and his bottom fangs have fallen out but his top ones are still hanging on for dear life....his adult top fangs are not completely through and with my first Yorkie I had to have a vet remove his baby fangs as they didn't come out on their own. My question is, did your Yorkies teeth come out on their own and if not how long did you wait, to see if they fell out on their own before getting a vet to remove them? I don't want to rush him there for unnecessary anesthetic if they might come out on their own...any advice etc would be great, Thanks |

Donating YT 500 Club Member | Has Bailey been neutered yet? If not, the retained baby teeth can be removed at that time. Ruby has two retained teeth and will be having them removed next month when she is spayed. She is just over a year old now.

Lovin' 2 Girls Donating Member | Yorkies seem to want to hang on to their baby teeth. I was hoping we would avoid this issue, as Abbie gnaws real raw bones all the time; but, she just wouldn't turn loose of two canines. They were removed when she was spayed after her first heat, at 10 months.

| Phoebe had to have four removed this past week... she's 8 months old now. They weren't budging and her bite was getting messed up. Make sure you have a vet check that. She did great, by the way. Came home chipper, chewing bones, etc. Had to TRY to keep her quiet! Merry Christmas... Deb |

| Both our girls had to have some baby teeth removed by the vet. They just wouldn't come out on their own. |
