| Baby Teeth Has anyone had to have their yorkies baby teeth removed? Maggie is going in the day after Christmas to have hers pulled. She has two canine teeth and the back teeth are coming in now too. She seems to feel OK but I do feel sorry for her. Maggie is 6 1/2 months old. |

| JoJo was neutered a few days ago and 4 baby teeth were removed. Are you having Maggie spayed? It is common to have these two procedures done at once so they do not have to be put under anesthesia to pull teeth. My vet took x-rays to see exactly what was going on (while JoJo was under anesthesia) and recommended the four canines come out (he had doubles on the bottom and the top looked to be coming in the same). He does have a few stiches in his mouth and we are feeding him soft food for 5-7 days and no hard chew toys either. Good luck to Maggie!

| Gracie was spayed last Wednesday. While she was under, they removed a couple of loose canines that had not yet fallen out.

| Well, it is good to know that Maggie isn't the only one to have two sets of teeth!! We want her to have puppies so are not having her fixed just yet. I never even thought of having stitches and no chew toys. I'm already feeling bad for her. |

| don't worry yet, she might not need stitches. JoJo's top canines were more challenging to remove. I got a couple of new soft toys to keep his mind off the harder ones he is missing. Also, the stiches do not have to come out, they will dissolve and anything in the mouth heals pretty quickly! I know, it's so hard to see these babies in any discomfort! I have been babying him since this happened!
