| Pet Owners Beware! As Christmas gets nearer, some people get more desperate for money. My cousin and my nephew have had their dogs taken in the past few weeks- a chocolate lab and a husky, Kitty here on the forum has had her Ace taken, right out of his own fenced yard. Be sure and keep your eyes on your babies, and don't leave them in the car, or let them potty without supervision. Some people see a purebred dog as easy money. I was planning to go Christmas shopping today, but now I am almost afraid to leave Jazz home alone! I would hate to know their were any more broken hearts. |

| I agree. People are really crazy these days. I never leave Diesel outside or in a car alone. I don't mind leaving him here in the house alone becuase of our Shepherd. I think it is safe to say with him here nobody would dare step in the house. However, for some it is a real concern and you have to be careful. I keep telling my grandmother that she needs to watch her dog more carefully. He will slip out the door if given the chance and run. So we really have to keep our little ones safe.

| Yes very true, and a good warning to all... keep your eyes on your babies!! There are really crazy/evil people out there, that will do anything for a quick buck! We quick to think "it happens to other people" but truth is, it can happen to anyone. |

Yorkie Kisses are the Best! Donating Member | I totally agree - we have a missing little yorkie right now on the site When a breed gets to be as expensive as yorkies are - there's alot of bad things that go with it.... and it's so sad for the dogs overall... there are so many people out there who will steal ANYTHING these days to make money - good warning and so sad that it's SO true. |

Donating YT 30K Club Member | When I have cable or repairpeople in the house I lock my girls up in my bedroom. Even though they bark at least they don't see what kind of dogs they are.

| Yes, It can happen to anyone. My little Ace is missing right now. I have offered a good reward for his return hoping that someone will return him to me. Sorry that other dogs have been taken too.

| My friend had her little puppy taken from her, only to see her puppy's picture posted on the local animal shelter flyer! Thankfully, she had tags to prove it was hers, but I guarantee you, she will be watching that little dog like a hawk! |

| Thanks for the warning. I hope your cousin and nephew find there babies. Rocky is never left in a car a lone, and definitly doesn't potty outside by himself. We have coyotes so that's my main fear of leaving him outside by himself.

My furkids Donating Member | I just saw a story like this tonight on the internet..this happened in Miami Dade County FL. Someone had broken into an older couples home (looked like a very nice home) and took money and jewerly and on their way out stole one of their yorkies!!(they have 2 but only 1 was taken) the poor thing is 13 yrs old and has to take meds for kidney problems...you know they are going to sell this poor little thing for drug money...but without the meds he is probably going to die...I just don't understand people...what a sick, sick world we live in..

| That is terrible!! Horrible that people would steal someones little furbaby from their home! It makes me sick! If anyone EVER stole one of my furkids and I found out who they were they better hope they can RUN FAST because I would beat the ever lovin' crap outta them and I would be more than willing to go to jail...as long as they put me in the SAME cell as the thieving varmit so I could CONTINUE to beat the ever lovin' crap outta their sorry butts!

| I was at Starbucks on Sunday and a lady was handing out flyers about her dog that had been stolen out of her back yard the night before, apparently they ripped out the fencing around the kennel and stole her dog. I had Heidi with me at the time and I felt so sorry for her, she was quite panic stricken.
