| How to get your baby to go to bed I just recently (a few days) started letting Howie sleep in my room with me. I'm not comfortable with him sleeping in the bed with me yet because I'm not sure how he'll do with going out when he needs to pee or poo. But, I put his bed in a nice cozy place in my room where I can see him from my bed. But, my question is...how do you get your little ones to go to sleep when you do? The first night he did fine, but I think he was just exhausted. But, the past couple of nights, he's be running around still. I leave the door cracked open so he'll be able to get out if he needs to. But, he'll run in and out when he's not sleepy yet. I'm afraid to close the door because I might not hear him in the middle of the night and don't want him to have an accident in my room (although I've been up every couple hours at least since he's been in the room because I'm worried). So, do your yorkies go to bed when you do? |

BANNED FOR NOT MAILING PRODUCTS PURCHASED | The 1st week I had Lillie, she was so tiny I was afraid to let her out of my site, so she slept right next to my bed with a laundry basket ocer her bed LOL Now, it's all about routine, she knows that she gets to lay with me while I watch TV in bed for awhile, then she is all nice and relaxed and I carry her into her bed, and she sleeps all night. She sleeps in a EXPen, it has her comfy bed, her blanky, pee pad, and her food and water. |

| Rocky pitter patters around At first he would run around and i would get up and try and grab him and used to think it was game now i say go to bed although he sits there and looks at me like what so i just go to bed and watch tv and after a good 5 minutes of walking around he finally goes to bed i wait till he's curled up to cover him if not forget it he would think i was playing with him and try and nip at my hand. Give your baby time since she is getting used to it she will know that when you go to bed it's time for bed too . Ohh another thing i do is when i get home from work i put all his toys away so make sure her toys are put away so she wont have anything to play with. Good Luck let us know how it goes

| Thanks! One night I did have the mistake of leaving his toys lying around. That changed last night!! But, he was still roaming around. Hopefully he'll learn soon to get into bed when I do. I think he's still really energetic because he's home alone all day and when I get home, he wants to play for hours. Whereas, I'm pooped and want to go to bed!!! Howie used to sleep in a play pen that I made too. I had his bed, pee pad, food and water in there. But, he hasn't been feeling to great so I decided I'll let him sleep in my room. (I've been wanting to, but this gave me the perfect excuse to finally give in). |

| well, I may have had kizzy and maggie longer than you've had yours and they might be older. they are 10 months and 6 months during the day if I want them to lay down I say get in your bed and lay down and they will in the kitchen. but at night ive always said its time to go night night and start turning out the lights but I leave on a small light and their beds are side by side with my bed. once I get the lights out and say ok girls, night night. they both run into the bedrooms and crawl right in their beds, i zip the beds up for the night and dont hear another peep from them before 7 to 8 am. this morning I had to wake them at 8:30. even if they have a day where they lay around and sleep a good bit, its still the same. theyve never woke us up during the night to go out but a couple times each and that was when we first got them at 6 and 8 weeks old. So I think we've been lucky. actually they sleep in soft crates the zip over night and they have 4 other little beds they lay around in during the day. I dont trust leaving them out all night to ramble or whatever they might decide to do.

| Jo and Riley both have slept with me since they turned 5 months old and I've never had any trouble getting them to go to bed at night. Usually all I have to do is say it's about night-night time and they start getting their last snack and drink and then Jo herds Riley off to bed by 10 or so. However, for some reason here lately they've been taking looooong afternoon naps and guess what...they think bedtime is playtime! If I put their toys in the basket and turn out the lights they stay with me but if I lay down and watch t.v. for a while they take off running through the house like 2 crazy boys! Actually, it's kind of funny to hear them clicking their toenails across the floor when they stalk and chase each other through the dark! It seems like one of them always has to get up to go pee one last time or get that last drink before morning...I guess they're really not so different than kids |

| I'm sure he'll get into a routine eventually. I can almost tell the time by Jaxon's moods and how active (or inactive) he is. Maybe try playing with him right before bed - might help make him tired.

YT Addict | Teddy is 3 months old. Today is his birthday! YAYY!!!! Ahem.. anyways, he has slept with me and my boyfriend from the day I have gotten him. It has its advantages, he sometimes gets up in the middle of the night to go to the bathroom, but I can usually sense when he has to go and I just drop him on the floor and he runs to his pee pad. Luckily for me, he does everything in one swoop! So its, pee then poop, then back to bed. He does this around 3am, and then we go back to sleep. It works well that way for us. Most of my family don't recommend it, but my boyfriend and I can't think of letting him sleep on the floor. |

| My dogs love to go to bed more than anything in the world. This is several hours before I go to bed....... Around 9 or 10:00 - I go to my bedroom and call out, "Does anyone want to go to bed?" Both my dogs are in their before I finish the sentence. I plop them on my bed and roll them around for a minute playing with them - and by this time, they are both lying down. Then, I say "stay" - turn off the light and leave. I leave the door ajar. They stay for hours - rarely all night - because I'm still up. However, when I go to bed, they are ready to go back to bed again. They love my bed!!!! Carol Jean |
