| 1 Day after Spay I knew she was going to feel puny last night. That was expected according to the written instructions my vet gave me after the surgery. Today, she's been laying in the bed, almost since she got up. But then again, she hasn't been up but a few hours. Really concerned me, but she ate some on her own, and drank some too, then hopped back in her bed. But she's a lot more "alert" than I give her credit for today. I pulled the box of Cheerios out of the pantry for my breakfast, and omg....she got out of the bed, and wanted her daily cheerios! Tail wagging and all! So she's doing better than what I thought. Went to pour milk in mine, and looked at the jug, it expired today, so I didn't get any But I was really happy to see her hop out of that bed to get hers (without milk). Least one of us had their Cheerios today! She hasn't messed with the stitches, and doens't have a onesie on. Last night, I kept her in her crate, to keep her from moving too much since she was pretty groggy, and slept most of yesterday anyway. I was able to get the (too huge for a yorkie) crate on the bed, so she still slept up there with me. This morning when I let her out of the crate, she used the bathroom in her litter box. So all is well today, in spite of all my fears about spaying. Now if she hadn't got up for her cheerios, I'd be back at the vet by now, lol. Now the fun part....to keep her from jumping on and off the sofa for a week. |

| It is normal for them to lay around a little bit afterward. And you are right the hardest part is keeping them from jumping
