| Yorkie doesn Carson is only 14 weeks old and whenever I put clothes on him he like gets all depressed and runs around rubbing up against stuff to try and get if off, he just sits there and doesn't want to play or anything. Is that how your all's puppies were? Do you think he'll get used to it?! |

| Pepper couldn't care less about wearing clothes... He doesn't sit still through the dressing process (yet!) but once the clothes are on (even layers) he knows it's time to go out and gets all happy and excited as soon as he see me taking his shirt out- as I rarely put clothes on him around the house. He was like that from the beginning. Try distracting him -taking him out or bribing with treats. Hope he'll get used to wearing clothes.

Yorkie Kisses are the Best! Donating Member | He may and may not - try leaving on something a little each day ...& maybe distracting him too will help - but if he hates clothes that much - let him be NEKKID : my girls knew they looked too cute and ate up the attention from the 1st time of wearing clothes... I think the funniest thing I ever read was the dog who (when wearing his first sweater) - just fell over to his side and wouldn't move - I would NOT dress a dog who felt that bad wearing clothes |

| Dennis in the beginning was horrible to dress, he would have it in his mouth biting and tearing at it before I could get it over his head. It was very frustrating! However when I did manage to get the shirt on he enjoyed it, so much so that he is very excited and can hardly wait for me to put one on him now. It just takes awhile for them to not only understand it but to really enjoy it. My friend has a Boston Terrier and whenever he is ready to go outside he insists on having his boots and coat put on. He is too funny! Also if you are talking about a coat or jacket, sometimes they can be a little tight and inhibiting, so maybe just try t-shirts, which are much more comfortable. I think he will come around. |

| My toy poodle hates clothes, bows and all the pretty girly stuff. However, she LOVES to get groomed and her hair clipped (she loves the pom pom) She loves her nails polished too! When she comes back from the groomers all dolled up with her pretty bows and stuff...........she is super CONCEITED She walks like she is all that and a bag of chips, her nose up in the air, and people just tell her she is so pretty and that's what she wants...........lol After the commotion is all over she will tear her bows off and be herself again I think it might be because she is black and gets hot easily........who knows She does wear coats and a scarf. When she starts feeling the cold.......she will happily wear it........lol My boy the yorkie...........LOVES clothes. He will sit still and let me dress him up. He doesn't mind me combing his hair and putting a band on his head......he's just so sweet. The first time I put a belly band on him though, he'd rub against everything trying to take it off and was successful. He's had them for a week now and has become accustomed to them Try a light piece of clothing on your boy (like a jersey). The one my boy has is super light and fresh. Don't put on snug or tight fitting clother or too loose either. Try anything that makes him feel comfortable and see how he does. Keep the shirt on all day and practice taking it off and on...........see if he tolerates it and/or becomes accustomed to it Good luck! Jess
