| Keeping My Teacup Yorkie Cute? We are the proud owners of 8 week old little SweePee. My question is, after reading allot of threads, how can we keep her looking like a pup in terms of her hair legnth as she gets older? We love her and want her to stay the way she is forever. Tips? Suggestions? Thanks |

| She's adorable! Welcome to YT! I would just take her to a groomer as her coat grows more and have them give her a puppy cut.

| Oh - she will change!!!! Get ready. But, like someone said - a puppycut will keep her looking younger - and besides, you'll love her as she grows and changes anyway.... Carol Jean |

| What a doll baby she is. They do change over time as everyone mentioned. Colors vary but their personality remains all puppy. But by that time she will be forever in your heart and you won't care. Enjoy her and good luck. Carol & Buddy |

Yorkie Kisses are the Best! Donating Member | Yup - yorkies STAY Cute that's for sure - and one reason so many dogs are in shelters is because dogs grow out of that 'cute' stage. Which is really sad for them. |

| I'm a big fan of puppy cuts! But it's also interesting to watch their hair grow, and how it changes their look. The good news is, there is no "right" and "wrong". Check out the "My Yorkie" section of this site, and you will see every length of hair from very short to very long! You'll know what suits your dog best as she grows and changes. A lot of it is lifestyle, too....how often you have time to brush her; how active she is outside; whether you can afford to have her groomed often, or can groom her yourself....etc. All animals change and lose their sweet "baby" looks, however, since yorkies are such small dogs, I think they do retain so much of their puppy looks and personalities! They really are our babies for life!
